Navigating Teenage Anxiety: A Holistic Approach

Considering our fast-paced society, anxiety is a prevalent and frequently misunderstood challenge. It can present as somatic symptoms (e.g. aches, increased heartbeat, muscle tension) and cognitive symptoms (e.g. worry, dread, rumination). We strive to support your child’s intricate journey through adolescence through the application of understanding and insight while they may be facing anxiety.

As your adolescent develops, they may be faced with a variety of stressors. Whether it may be academic pressures, societal expectations, household dynamics, or even the pervasive impact of today’s technology, we believe that the adolescent difficulties with these stressors can be addressed and treated. Protected Roots Integrative (PRI) Treatment Center recognizes that the first step towards fostering a more resilient and fulfilling lifestyle can begin with the concentration on daily struggles and triumphs.

We are committed to providing a diverse range of treatment options for adolescents and their families. We use evidence-based models like the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) approach and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Framework interwoven with empirically-validated treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and more. We do this in order to promote a comprehensive understanding of various tools and strategies that are helpful for teenagers as they regain control over their anxiety. Our holistic approach to intervention is a beacon of hope for teenagers and their families. By identifying the signs of teenage anxiety and by supporting a nurturing and open communication with adolescents, a path to wellness can begin.
